Yes. In most cases we replace only the insulated glass unit and leave the frame, sash and trim in place.
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be four to five times stronger and breaks into small, rounded pieces; it is required near doors, tubs and floors. Laminated glass has a plastic interlayer that holds the glass together when broken, adding security and noise reduction.
